Screenshots can expose contact names, notifications, addresses, account numbers, QR codes, and faces. Review the entire image before posting or sending it.

What to protect

Look beyond the main subject. Private details often appear in status bars, notifications, document previews, reflections, and the background.

  • Names, phone numbers, email and home addresses
  • Account, order and identification numbers
  • Faces, signatures, barcodes and QR codes

Blur the screenshot

Open the image, zoom in, and cover every sensitive region. Make each protected area slightly larger than the text or object beneath it.

  • Choose the screenshot
  • Mark each private area
  • Increase blur strength
  • Export a protected copy

Check before sharing

Inspect the exported image at full size. Small or weak blur may still leave text readable when someone enlarges the image.

  • Check corners and status bars
  • Keep the original private
  • Share only the protected export
