Privacy Policy
Web Technology Detector is developed by Dolganov Studio. It is designed to identify technologies used by a website while keeping detection and saved reports on your device. The app does not require an account or a backend service.
Information we collect
Dolganov Studio does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information through Web Technology Detector. The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, remote configuration, or a user account system.
Webpage access
The Safari extension requires permission to access the webpage you choose to inspect. This access is used to identify supported technologies and prepare the report you request. Safari controls the websites for which this permission is granted.
Information analyzed
Detection may examine technical page signals such as HTML, script and stylesheet addresses, metadata, JavaScript globals, cookie names, and available response headers. The app is not designed to collect authorization values, cookie values, form entries, passwords, or the readable text of the page.
Local processing and storage
Technology detection uses a signature database included with the app. Reports may contain the page URL, page title, detected favicon, technology matches, supporting evidence, confidence information, and scan time. This information is processed and stored locally on your Mac. Dolganov Studio does not receive your browsing history, scanned URLs, or reports.
Favicons and internet requests
When a report uses a website favicon, your Mac may request that image from the website or its image host. Those services may receive information normally included in an internet request, such as your IP address and request headers, under their own privacy terms.
Exports
You decide when to export a report. The app can mask supported tracking identifiers before display or export. If you save or share a report through another app or service, that destination processes the file under its own privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
Saved reports and settings remain on your device until you remove them, the operating system removes them, or you uninstall the app. Deleting an exported copy from another app or service must be done through that destination.
Children's privacy
Web Technology Detector does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.
