Privacy Policy — Shipvexa: App Preflight

Shipvexa: App Preflight analyzes Apple application archives on the user’s Mac. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-collection SDKs.
Data processed on the device
When the user explicitly selects or drops an .xcarchive, .ipa, or .app, Shipvexa reads files needed to produce its report, including bundle metadata, executable metadata, code-signing information, provisioning profiles, privacy manifests, entitlements, icons, frameworks, extensions, and localizations. This content remains on the Mac and is not uploaded by Shipvexa.
The app stores up to 30 recent scan summaries in its sandboxed Application Support container. Stored history is limited to build metadata, findings, and selected non-sensitive evidence. It does not store application binaries, provisioning profiles, certificates, or full source paths. The user can delete history in Settings → History.
The selected interface language is stored locally in the app’s preferences.
Network access
Shipvexa performs no background upload of an archive or scan result. Network access occurs only in these cases:
- Apple’s StoreKit service is contacted by the operating system to load products, complete purchases, restore purchases, and verify entitlements.
- If the user explicitly chooses online Associated Domains verification, Shipvexa requests the public
/.well-known/apple-app-site-associationfile from the domain present in the selected app’s entitlement. The archive itself and its report are not sent to that domain.
Tracking and sharing
Shipvexa does not track users, create advertising profiles, sell data, or share scan content with the developer or third parties. The app has no proprietary server component.
Retention and deletion
Scan history remains in the local app container until the user deletes it, the 30-scan limit removes older entries, or the app/container is removed. The app’s Settings → History screen provides a Clear History action.
