Web Technology Detector

Need help enabling the extension, scanning a website, or understanding a result? Start with these common solutions or contact us directly.

Enable the Safari extension

Open Safari Settings, choose Extensions, and enable Web Technology Detector. Allow website access when prompted so the extension can inspect the page you choose to scan.

Scan the current website

Open a regular HTTP or HTTPS webpage, select Web Technology Detector in the Safari toolbar, and wait for the results. Safari settings pages, protected pages, and some local files cannot be inspected.

A technology is missing

Some websites hide, proxy, rename, or load technologies only after an interaction. Reload the page and scan again. Server-side tools without visible page signals may not be detectable.

Open, save, or export a report

Use the extension action to open the full report in the Mac app. From there you can keep the report locally or export a readable text summary.
