Sign in to your mailbox
Install the extension, open its icon in Chrome, select Login, and complete sign-in on the official Outlook website. Your unread count should then appear on the extension icon.

Unread messages are missing
Confirm that you are signed in to the correct Outlook or Hotmail account, keep Chrome connected to the internet, and reopen the extension panel. New mail is checked every 30 seconds.
Notifications do not appear
Check that Chrome notifications are allowed in your operating system and that notifications are enabled for the extension. Also make sure Chrome can continue running in the background.
Open or mark messages as read
Select a message in the unread list to open it in Outlook. Use the mark-all-read action when you want to clear the unread state for the displayed mailbox.
